The DoubleTree by Hilton Claremont generally receives positive feedback, with guests praising the friendly staff, convenient location near Claremont and Trader Joe’s, and decent amenities like a pool and Starbucks. However, recent reviews highlight significant concerns regarding room cleanliness, maintenance issues, and a persistent odor. While staff are often described as helpful and accommodating, some guests have experienced issues with room assignments and a lack of responsiveness from management regarding reported problems.
It is a lovely hotel with plenty of parking space, very friendly lobby staff, and a very clean environment; the pool is spacious, and the rooms are clean and tidy. Personally, I found Victor and Ruben at the restaurant to be very kind during breakfast; they take good care of the guests and are very friendly.
Pretty landscaped grounds. Rooms a little bit dated but nice. Looked like they’re planning a remodel soon. The gluten free cookies were unexpected and absolutely fantastic! The only thing that would have made it better was a room with a balcony. Our room was one of a small few on the property that didn’t have a walk out balcony/patio with table and chairs. When making the reservation as a part of a wedding block, I didn’t know. I did however enjoy the patio with fire pits one evening until a rather loud group gathered. Not wanting to cause a fuss, I decided to retire to my room.
Honestly, best stay. They are so nice and the staff is incredible. The parking is great and it’s in a cozy location. I also was floored at the fact that check out was at 12. Best stay EVER!
Desiree at the front desk was phenomenal. After a long day of traveling across the country and arriving late, she was not only incredibly hospitable but also very informative about the attached restaurant’s menu. She took the time to share local recommendations and things to do in the area as well. Overall, she was an absolute joy to interact with and made my experience that much better.
My review is only for the outdoors. Inspecifically, the areas I was visiting. I'm a Hilton member. I don't think I would stay here only because of things I noticed we're not maintained. Which leads me to believe the inside/rooms are not maintained as well either. It's the details, here's some pictures that I noticed..
Giving this place 5 stars because of the staff location and amenities. We travel to this location for work every few months and usually stay closer to Ontario airport. This hotel is closer to my office and Claremont a darling little community. I don’t use the amenities at the hotel but it’s nice to know they have them. Pool and gym are decent size. Starbucks in lobby yes please! Restaurant has nice menu although we didn’t go. Shout out to Melissa at front desk for walking me to my room to let me in and for advice on Claremont loop. We will be back. Trader Joe’s next door too is always a plus
We attended a babyshower; what a nice space. The staff were very attentive; refilling drinks and retrieving used plates. The shared bathrooms were convenient and just down the hallway. My only concern is, maybe the staff should not break down the room arrangement until AFTER the guest's leave. Thank you!
I travel about every week and stay exclusively at Hilton properties. This is probably one of the best I've stayed in. The room was a room, nothing fancy. What made it great was the employees and the restaurant. Probably the best food I've ever had at a hotel restaurant. I never left the property once to eat dinner. The entire staff was friendly, fun, and entertaining. Especially the three guys bartending on Thursday night!
Room smells really bad . I requested to change room and they gave me another which smells the same. Building 4. Other people reviews have reported the same. Like old carpet, humidity, like pee. The mattress feels like old mattress, uncomfortable. The fan is very noisy. For a Hilton hotel the rooms at this location smell BAD! Location is good though. Edit: the hotel owner, or whoever is replying to all these reviews reporting the bad smell in the rooms, keep saying the same, but no action to solve the situation!
Everything was fine. This was my second time visiting, but this time I was carrying a cake and bread from 85°C. As soon as I entered the hotel, the front desk staff Emma said, “You can just put the delivery over there.” I was clearly surprised to be mistaken for a delivery person, and I felt a bit stunned and uncomfortable. Still, overall it was not bad.
