The DoubleTree by Hilton Claremont receives mixed reviews, with notable praise for its convenient location, friendly staff, and restaurant. However, recurring concerns regarding room cleanliness, particularly persistent odors and outdated conditions, and issues with room assignments and billing errors significantly detract from the overall experience. Recent reviews highlight a decline in maintenance and a lack of responsiveness from management.

My review is only for the outdoors. Inspecifically, the areas I was visiting. I'm a Hilton member. I don't think I would stay here only because of things I noticed we're not maintained. Which leads me to believe the inside/rooms are not maintained as well either. It's the details, here's some pictures that I noticed..

Giving this place 5 stars because of the staff location and amenities. We travel to this location for work every few months and usually stay closer to Ontario airport. This hotel is closer to my office and Claremont a darling little community. I don’t use the amenities at the hotel but it’s nice to know they have them. Pool and gym are decent size. Starbucks in lobby yes please! Restaurant has nice menu although we didn’t go. Shout out to Melissa at front desk for walking me to my room to let me in and for advice on Claremont loop. We will be back. Trader Joe’s next door too is always a plus

We attended a babyshower; what a nice space. The staff were very attentive; refilling drinks and retrieving used plates. The shared bathrooms were convenient and just down the hallway. My only concern is, maybe the staff should not break down the room arrangement until AFTER the guest's leave. Thank you!

I travel about every week and stay exclusively at Hilton properties. This is probably one of the best I've stayed in. The room was a room, nothing fancy. What made it great was the employees and the restaurant. Probably the best food I've ever had at a hotel restaurant. I never left the property once to eat dinner. The entire staff was friendly, fun, and entertaining. Especially the three guys bartending on Thursday night!

Room smells really bad . I requested to change room and they gave me another which smells the same. Building 4. Other people reviews have reported the same. Like old carpet, humidity, like pee. The mattress feels like old mattress, uncomfortable. The fan is very noisy. For a Hilton hotel the rooms at this location smell BAD! Location is good though. Edit: the hotel owner, or whoever is replying to all these reviews reporting the bad smell in the rooms, keep saying the same, but no action to solve the situation!

Everything was fine. This was my second time visiting, but this time I was carrying a cake and bread from 85°C. As soon as I entered the hotel, the front desk staff Emma said, “You can just put the delivery over there.” I was clearly surprised to be mistaken for a delivery person, and I felt a bit stunned and uncomfortable. Still, overall it was not bad.

We stayed at the Doubletree for my high school reunion in October. I had made reservations a month in advance for a larger room with a king bed. When we arrived at 1am we were given someone else reservation and we were given a very small room with 2 double beds. Also my reservation was for 3 nights and the reservation/room we were given was for 2 nights. When we returned to our room I 2221 on the third day we were locked out of our room and then charged for the 3rd night. I had already paid for 3 nights! I have tried on a number of occasions to contact the manager but no response at all This place is a rip off and no customer service beware!

I recently stayed at this hotel and unfortunately, my experience was disappointing!!The room had a strong, unpleasant odor that seemed to be coming from the carpeted flooring, which I don't think will go away with just a simple cleaning. The bedding smelled bad and looked like it had been exposed to humidity - it didn't feel fresh or clean at all. The bathroom lacked proper ventilation, and after showering, the steam filled the entire room, making it uncomfortable. The bathroom curtain also looked like it hadn't been cleaned in a while, which was a concern. To make matters worse, we had requested a baby bassinet, but what was brought to our room seemed more suited for a pet - it was tiny and looked dirty. The beds were also much smaller than they appeared in the pictures, which was a letdown. Overall, the cleanliness and amenities fell short of expectations. The only thing that was awesome was the breakfast, which was a highlight of our stay. Hopefully, the hotel will address these issues to improve future guests' stays. Curtains were awful!!! Dirtiest curtains I've ever seen!!!Waste Of money Overall!!! I have to spend another $500 to stay in Casa 425 Hotel (which was the BEST hotel ) because of the smell, dirtiness& etc...

Its a real nice hotel. The grounds are beautiful, the people helpful and friendly, the rooms are good, the restaurant had a really good breakfast. Fruit and pastries, eggs, bacon, sausage, omelette bar, good coffee & orange juice. I don't know the area, but it seemed like it was a bit far from anything else. Honestly, it's not a town im rushing back to, but if I do go back there I would definitely stay here again.

I stayed here for the first time this week and received great service. I booked a top floor room because I needed to quiet to work, but found that room was directly in front of some repairmen who had fans running and still a lot of work ahead of them in the hallway at 5 pm. I returned to the desk and explained the situation. They gave me keys to what I thought was a top floor room again. It wasn’t. I didn’t take the time to go see the room. Instead, I returned to the desk where the manager apologized and looked into top floor options. The only one left didnt have a king bed, so I opted for the second floor room but asked for a discount. They graciously gave me one. When I finally got to my room, I realized I had been upgraded to a suite. They could have rolled their eyes at a request for a discount since they already upgraded my room class, but they did not. They were instead very professional and kind. Room was clean and pretty quiet. Just wanted to say thank you! I will definitely return.
